Bush Foundation Announces Event Sponsorship Recipients

The event sponsorship program supports events that inspire, equip and connect people to think bigger and think differently about what's possible in their communities. In April, we awarded sponsorship funds to support these organizations' events: 

NORTH DAKOTA ASSOCIATION OF NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS (NDANO)

NDANO is the statewide membership association advancing North Dakota nonprofits through advocacy and public policy, education and training, resources and research, cost-saving programs, and leadership and networking. NDANO strengthens communities and enhances quality of life through engaging and ensuring a strong charitable sector.

UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA, MORRIS - CENTER FOR SMALL TOWNS

The University of Minnesota, Morris Center for Small Towns (CST) is a community outreach program that serves as a point of entry to the resources of the University of Minnesota. Small towns, local units of government, K-12 schools, nonprofit organizations, and other University units are able to utilize CST’s resources as they work on rural issues or make contributions to rural society. CST’s mission is to focus the University’s attention and marshal its resources toward assisting Minnesota’s small towns with locally identified issues while creating applied learning opportunities for faculty and students. CST is dedicated to creating a bright future for small towns throughout the state.

Honoring Women Worldwide is a nonprofit organization founded in 2007 with the purpose of inspiring and engaging women to choose language that honors and celebrates themselves and each other. The Minnesota Council of Nonprofits (MCN) was founded in 1987 to meet the increasing information needs of nonprofits and to convene nonprofits to address issues facing the sector. MCN works to inform, promote, connect and strengthen individual nonprofits and the nonprofit sector.

MINNESOTA COUNCIL ON FOUNDATIONS

The Minnesota Council on Foundations (MCF) works actively to expand and strengthen a vibrant community of diverse grantmakers who individually and collectively advance the common good. MCF members represent three-quarters of all grantmaking in the state, awarding more than $1 billion annually. Members include private family and independent foundations, community and other public foundations, and corporate foundations and giving programs.
